Thesis: Fight Club (1999) has impacted American society significantly because of the emphasis of violence within the film, the message of the film that is still widley talked about, and how it sparked ideological thought amongst viewers.
Fight Club (1999) was a novel originally written by Chuck Palahniuk which then later got bought by FOX in 1997 for 10 thousand dollars to be directed by David Fincher, although the film did not originally perform well at the box office, but then gained cult status with the help of dvd sales and the turn of the 21st century being on the horizon. To understand fight club we must understand how Fight Club came to be.
